Staying in : December Journal
This month’s journal is a little earlier than usual, with a more seasonal focus.
Instead of the usual mix of books, films, and artists, I’ve put together a few dessert recipes and a gift guide featuring independent artists and small brands. I hope this journal brings a little inspiration for appreciating the little things during the holiday season, slow days in the kitchen and gift-giving done with intention.
Recipes
Ginger Bread Bundt Cake
This one makes the whole kitchen smell like the holidays. I swapped the usual molasses for maple syrup, making it more moist than your typical gingerbread cake. The dark brown sugar and browned butter give the outside a caramelized crust. Download recipe here
Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies
Soft and chewy. These cookies are filled with chunks of peppermint and white chocolate. The cookie dough can be prepared days or weeks ahead. These are a great option for parties or homemade gifts. Download recipe here
